Camerons Show Off Baby Florence At Number 10

Prime Minister David Cameron and his wife Samantha have shown off their their new baby daughter, Florence Rose Endellion on the steps of number 10 Downing Street.

It is the first time that Mrs Cameron and eleven-day old Florence have been seen in public.

A statement issued by the Prime Minister said: "Samantha and I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their kindness and generosity since the birth of baby Florence.

"We have been really, really touched by all the people who have offered their warm congratulations, and by the many cards, gifts and flowers that we have received."

The couple were on holiday near Truro when baby Florence was born early on August 24. The baby, who weighed 6lb 1oz, was delivered by Caesarean section at the Royal Cornwall Hospital.

The Camerons have two other children, Nancy Gwen, six, and Arthur Elwen, four. Their eldest son, Ivan, tragically died in February 2009, aged six. He had suffered from a rare combination of cerebral palsy and Ohtahara syndrome, a form of severe epilepsy, and required round-the-clock care.

Gas Explosion At Leeds Pub
Five people are in hospital following a gas explosion at a derelict pub in Leeds. Emergency services were called to the disused Florence Nightingale in Beckett Street at approximately 1.30pm today. West Yorkshire Police say that five casualties are receiving hospital treatment but their injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Prime Minister David Cameron and his wife Samantha are celebrating the birth of their baby daughter, who arrived unexpectedly during the couple's summer holiday. The couple were on holiday near Truro when the baby was born two weeks early on Tuesday.

Missing Baby Found 'Safe And Well'
A nine-month-old baby girl who was reported missing from her home in Glouchestershire on Monday has been found safe and well. Maylayah Delaney had been reported missing by her mother shortly before lunch-time on Monday. Police have confirmed that a man from the West Midlands is helping them with their inquiries.

Pregnant Woman Attacked In Essex
A pregnant woman has been attacked with a baseball bat and a knife at her home in Basildon, Essex. The 22-year-old woman, who was in labour, was getting ready to leave her home with her partner to go to the hospital when a gang raided her home. She was hit with a baseball bat and slashed with a knife.

Woman And Children Hurt In Suspected Knife Attack
A man has been arrested in connection with the discovery of a woman's dead body and four injured children. According to police the body of a woman (37) was found in a house on Reinwood Road, Lindley, Huddersfield.
