Murdered Teen Dialled 999 After Stabbing
A 13-year-old girl has died of stab wounds after an attack in Doncaster on Tuesday.
She was subject to the serious assault in the Elmfield Park area of Doncaster and died on Tuesday evening.
Police said they were treating the incident as a murder investigation and announced the arrest of a 26-year-old woman who was being held in connection with incident and who remains in police custody.
The park has been closed off and there is an inner cordon around a children's playground in the middle of the park, which is near the town centre.
It is understood the girl was stabbed outside the park but called for help from inside the park.
The 13-year-old girl has not yet been named, while a post mortem is to be held in due course.
Police asked anyone with information to call 101 and quote incident number 438 of or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.

Police Launch Baringside Murder Appeal
Detectives are appealing for information following the murder of a woman in the Barkingside area. Police were called shortly before 16:00hrs on Tuesday 7 February following reports of a disturbance at a flat along the High Street, Barkingside. Officers attended and discovered the body of a 17-year-old girl at the premises.

A teenage girl has died after falling more than 100ft from a ride at a leisure park in Pembrokeshire, west Wales. Hayley Williams, 16, from Pontypool, died yesterday afternoon after tumbling from the Hydro water ride at Oakwood theme park. A 10-year-old boy was also treated for minor head injuries after being hit by Miss Williams when she fell.

Six-year-old girl survives 150ft cliff fall
A six-year-old girl has survived a 150ft fall from a cliff top, miraculously escaping with only minor injuries. Humber Coastguard were alerted shortly after 5:30pm on Thursday evening, following reports that a girl had fallen down a cliff at Filey in Yorkshire, next to the Blue Dolphin Caravan Park.

Inquiry After 13-Year-Old Girl Raped
A police inquiry is underway into the alleged rape of a 13-year-old girl, in an attack believed to have been carried out by a number of men. Five men have been arrested after the teenager was raped and forced to engage in other sex acts in the Hoveringham Park area of Harehills, Leeds, on Saturday night.

Officers Help Deliver Baby Girl
Two officers from Lambeth have been praised after they helped deliver a baby this morning, Thursday 3 May. The father of the baby called police at 02:55hrs in a distressed state asking for officers to attend his home address in Knights Hill. He was at work in central London and wasn't with his wife.
