Dave Lee Travis Trial Begins
The trial of former BBC Radio 1 DJ Lee Travis has gotten underway in central London.
Travis, whose real name is David Patrick Griffin, is charged with 13 counts of indecent assault and one of sexual assault.
The 68-year-old denies all charges.
The trial is being held at Southwark Crown Court and is expected to last up to 6 weeks. A jury will be selected on Tuesday.
The offences are alleged to have happened between 1976 and 2008.

Earlier on Thursday, the jury in the trial of the former BBC DJ had been instructed that a majority verdict would be accepted. This afternoon, the jury at Southwark Crown Court found the 68-year-old not guilty of 12 counts of indecent assault.

Mr Travis, whose real name is David Patrick Griffin, faces 11 counts of indecent assault and one count of sexual assault, the Crown Prosecution Service has said. He will appear before Westminster magistrates on 23 August.
