Teen Rescued From Deep Mud In Dorset

Emergency services in Dorset have rescued two teenagers from deep mud close to Peverell Avenue East, in Poundbury, Dorchester.

According to reports, the two teens had become stuck while out dog walking.

They had become stuck up their thighs when firefighters rescued them.

The fire service urged walkers to take extreme care because recent bad weather has left the ground saturated.

Oil Worker Dies After Falling From Platform

An oil worker has died after falling into the sea from a North Sea platform.

It has been reported that a 62-year-old man fell from the Taqa platform Harding, which is around 200 miles north east of Aberdeen and about 100 miles south east of Sumburgh.

A recovery vehicle recovered the man's body.

It is understood that the man was involved in "maintenance activity".

The exact cause of the man's fall is being investigated.

Work at the platform has been stopped with the 108 staff reduced to 35 during the investigation.

Mountain Rescue Find Missing 74-Year-Old

A major mountain rescue operation has found missing 74-year-old Kenneth Wallington.

Mr Wallington, from Cheshire, was reported missing after he failed to return from a walk in the Ceiriog Valley on Wednesday.

It is understood that he was found by the North East Wales mountain rescue team found as he was making his way back to his car.

It is believed he lost his way while walking and bedded down for the night.

Man Rescued From Burning Yacht
RNLI rescuers have saved a lone yachtsman from a burning boat off the North East coast. The RNLI reported that the 36ft vessel "burst into flames" at about 05:45 off Seaham, Co Durham, with boat crews in the area spotting thick plumes of smoke. They alerted the emergency services.

House Collapses After Fire In Greater Manchester
A house in Greater Manchester has partially collapsed following a fire. The incident has left two men needing hospital treatment and a third unaccounted for. It is understood that the fire broke out at around 5am at an end-of-terrace house in War Office Road, Rochdale.

Cairngorms Dead Hillwalker Named
A man who died while hillwalking in the Cairngorms has been named. Graham Connell, 31, from Castleford, West Yorkshire, was found in the Jacob's Ladder area on Monday. The five companions he was walking with from Leeds University Hiking Club were rescued by helicopter. Northern Constabulary said a report would be submitted to the procurator fiscal.

Man Rescued From Hostel Fire
Firefighters have rescued a man trapped by a fire at a hostel in St Pancras. Emergency services were called to Birkenhead Street on Tuesday afternoon to reports of a fire on the first floor of the hostel. Fifteen people had escaped the building before firefighters arrived, however one person was unaccounted for.

Man Rescued From House Fire
A man has been rescued from a house fire in Blaenau Ffestiniog, North Wales. At around 2.43am in Monday morning, North Wales Fire and Rescue Service were called to a property on High Street in the area following reports of a fire.
