Police Name Men Found Dead In Car

Two men who were found with fatal stab wounds in a car in east London at the weekend have been named by police.

They were Aaron Carriere, 21, and 20-year-old Josiah Manful, and both men were from east London.

The pair were found by officers in a vehicle just before 1am on Saturday morning on Montague Road, Leytonstone.

Following a post-mortem examination, it was revealed that Mr Carriere had died after receiving a stab wound to the neck, while Mr Manful died from stab wounds to his chest, and shock and haemorrhaging.

Scotland Yard have now launched a double murder investigation but no arrests have yet been made.

In a statement, Detective Chief Inspector Neil Attewell said: "we are in the early stages of this investigation and retain an open mind as to the motive for this ferocious attack.

"It is of paramount importance that we establish why these two young men were attacked and who is responsible."

Police question man over Manchester pub shootings
A 41-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the March pub shooting in Manchester which left two men dead. The man, who is from south Manchester, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder by armed police at an address in Radcliffe in the early hours of Thursday morning.

Two Men Stabbed At Wireless Festival
Two men are being treated for stab wounds following an incident at London's Wireless festival. It is understood that the attack on the two happened at around 21:00 on Sunday at the festival site in Queen Elizabeth park, east London. One of the men is said to be in critical condition and the other in a stable condition.

Couple found dead in museum
Police are investigating a suspected murder and suicide at the World Museum in Liverpool. Merseyside Police were called to the World Museum on Sunday, following reports that a man had fallen to his death from a balcony. However, police then discovered a teenage girl suffering from stab wounds. The pair were taken to hospital where both later died.

Stab Wounds Found In Pudsey Murders
A mother and her two young children found dead in a house in Leeds had suffered stab wounds, according to West Yorkshire Police on Tuesday. Police investigating the deaths of the family who'd been found dead at the house in Pudsey said Clair Smith, 36, and her two sons had been stabbed in the chest.

19 Bailed Following Trafalgar Square Disorder
Police are appealing for information following a number of fights in the Trafalgar Square area last Thursday. Three men were stabbed and police made 19 arrests. All the men were bailed to return on various dates in mid-April. Officers were called to the scene at around 4pm to reports of a large fight and a man stabbed.
