Two Rearrested In Nicola Payne Case
Police investigating the disappearance of Nicola Payne have rearrested two people.
A man, aged 50, and a 51-year-old woman are currently on police bail in connection with the inquiry.
Ms Payne, 18 and a mother-of-one, was last seen on 14 December 1991 in the Henley Green area.
In a statement, West Midlands Police confirmed on Thursday (1 May) that a man had been rearrested on suspicion of Ms Payne's murder and abduction, while the woman was rearrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice. Both were first arrested in December 2013 after new evidence came to light.
DI Martin Slevin, from West Midlands Police, said: "The investigation into Nicola's disappearance continues and today's arrests show that there is still information held within the community that has not previously been known to the inquiry."
He added that Ms Payne's family were aware of the latest developments and are being supported by specially-trained officers.
Detectives have urged anyone with information to contact them on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Man Held In Cumbria Murder Probe
A man is being questioned on suspicion of murder after a woman's body was found in her home in Cumbria at the weekend. The body of 52-year-old Nicola Bisset was found by in her home in Rivington Park in Appleby on Saturday, after North Yorkshire Police received a tip-off. The cause of death is still unknown.

Third Rearrested In 1991 Murder Case
West Midlands Police has confirmed a third person has been rearrested on suspicion of the abduction and murder of Nicola Payne. On Friday morning, a 49-year-old man – who is currently on bail in connection with the inquiry – was rearrested in Coventry and is currently being questioned by officers.

Police Searching Lake In Nicola Payne Investigation
Police investigating the disappearance of Nicola Payne in 1991 are searching an area of water within Coombe Abbey Country Park. It is understood that Home Office scientists have already conducted a preliminary sonar examination of the lake, and will take focus on a stretch of shallow water.

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of the abduction and murder of a woman in Coventry 22 years ago. Nicola Payne was 18 at the time of her disappearance on 14 December 1991. It is understood that new forensic evidence has been uncovered that could provide a "breakthrough" in the case.

Police have now been given more time to question the two men as part of the renewed investigation. Nicola Payne was 18 when she went missing from the Wood End area in December 1991. She had a six-month-old son.
