Police Investigate 'Serious Sexual Assault' On Girl
Police are investigating a "serious sexual assault" on a young girl during a fancy dress event. The alleged attack took place near St Idloes Church at Llandidloes in Powys at about 10pm on Friday. It is reported that the 13-year-old girl told police that a man had attacked her in an area of the church grounds bordering the river through the town.
Dyfed-Powys Police say they are looking for a man aged between 20 and 30, 5ft 6in tall, who was wearing a red dressing gown and brown sandals. It is understood the incident took place during the weekend of Llanidloes Fancy Dress. Police say they would like to speak to anyone who may have seen a man fitting the description. Anyone with information is asked to call Dyfed-Powys Police CID on 0845 3302000.
Schoolboy Dies In Hospital
A 12-year-old boy has died in hospital after being hit by a car on his way home from school. Joe Caven-Norris, of Guisborough, died on Saturday afternoon after suffering head and chest injuries. It is understood the Laurence Jackson School pupil was hit by a BMW on Margrove Road at its junction with Margrove Park after disembarking from a bus.
He was airlifted to James Cook University hospital where he was intensive care for two days. A Cleveland Police spokesman said: "Sadly the 12-year-old boy Joe Caven-Norris died from his injuries." Police have renewed appeals for witnesses on the 828 bus or in the area to come forward. Anyone with information is asked to contact 01642 326326.

Madeleine's Mother Questioned By Police
Kate McCann, the mother of missing British girl Madeleine McCann, is being re-interviewed by Portuguese police. Her husband, Gerry McCann, will be re-interviewed tomorrow. Mrs McCann arrived at Portimao police station in the Algarve at 2pm local time on Thursday. She was accompanied by her lawyer Carlos Pinto de Abreu.

Teenager attacked by masked man
Police in Wigtownshire have appealed for witnesses after a masked man attacked a teenage girl in her home. The 15-year-old was attacked in her home in Kirkcowan around 3am on Sunday. The attacker was described as around 6ft tall and broad-shouldered. He was wearing a dark balaclava and a dark-coloured top with a white logo at the chest level.

Robyn Ferrigan was last seen boarding a bus in Newington Road in Edinburgh around 11:30am on Tuesday. She is described as white, 5ft 2ins tall, of medium build with shoulder-length dirty blonde hair.
