About Social Anxiety Northern Ireland

Hello and welcome to Social Anxiety Northern Ireland's support group.

The group offers support to anyone 18 and over living within the province, who suffers from Social Anxiety. We provide a range of activities in a safe, managed environment which provide varying degrees of social practice and engagement during regular monthly meetings, and we also run regular social events which provide the chance to develop a social life with people who understand and struggle with their Social Anxiety. It's entirely up to each individual how involved in they want to become in the group, and there will be no pressure whatsoever on taking part.

We're not a therapy group, but a 'peer to peer' support group, which means we help each other and look out for each other's best interests. If you have feelings of self harm, or are suicidal, you should attend your GP, or your local A&E department or call the Samaritans on 116 123 from any phone.

The meetings are very friendly and relaxed, and we split into small workgroups for the majority of the sessions, which some people find less intimidating. For those further along their social anxiety journey, there are opportunities to engage with the larger group, which can be extremely beneficial in terms of confidence building and personal development.

If you want to get in touch or speak to someone in person before you come along, we'll be delighted to hear from you. We can be reached by phone or email using the following details:
