Four Men Charged In Connection With Belfast Disorder
Four men have been charged with numerous offences connected to disorder in Belfast city centre and surrounding areas.
Sporadic violence developed across the city centre and further disorder was reported in the Sandy Row area where a business premises was also set on fire.
A 53-year-old has been charged with resisting police, three counts of assault on police and disorderly behaviour.
Meanwhile, a 46-year-old man has also been charged with disorderly behaviour and resisting police.
A 38-year-old has been charged with possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence, possession of fireworks without a licence, and riotous behaviour. He also faces the charge of disorderly behaviour.
A 34-year-old has also been charged with taking part in an un-notified public procession.
The four men appeared before Belfast Magistrates' Court today, Monday, 5th August.
As is usual procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
Police are continuing to gather evidence, CCTV and other footage of yesterday's events and anyone who has information or who can help identify those responsible is asked to contact police on 101.

PSNI Investigate Disorder at L'Derry Interface
Police in L'Derry are appealing for information following a period of disorder at an interface in the Irish Street area of the city on the evening of Friday, 1st May. The incident began at approximately 9:45pm when a group of around 15 young people, with their faces covered and carrying flags, gathered as a band parade passed through the vicinity.

Man Charged Following Newry Disorder Incident
A 37-year-old man has been charged with assault on police, attempted criminal damage, criminal damage, disorderly behaviour and resisting police. The charges relate to a disturbance in the Mall area of Newry on Sunday 8th December at around 1:50am. Police said the man became aggressive and abusive towards officers.
