Hospital Stabbing Shock

Police in east London are hunting a man seen fleeing the scene of a fatal stabbing at a local hospital.

They want to question a man, thought to be of Chinese appearance and in his mid-30s who was seen running away after another man was found stabbed to death.

The victim was discovered with serious injuries in a loading bay at Whipps Cross Hospital, Walthamstow, on Monday night and died shortly afterwards.

It is thought the man, aged in his mid-20s may have been visiting someone at the hospital.

Police believe he may have known his attacker, and that the victim was not thought to have been a patient or employee at the hospital.

A police spokesman said a formal identification and a post mortem examination will take place in due course.
