Appeal After Fatal Bike Crash

Police in Wakefield have appealed for witnesses after a motorcyclist died in a road traffic collision at the weekend.

At around 11.30am on Saturday (18 April) a Suzuki Bandit motorcycle was travelling along Chevet Lane, towards Sandal when it was in collision with a tractor that had pulled onto Chevet Lane from the Chevet Lane farm track.

As a result, the motorcyclist, a 21-year old from the St Helen's area of Merseyside died at the scene.

Police are now appealing for witnesses and anyone with any information to come forward.

Three Dead Following Crash In Nottinghamshire
Three people have died in an accident on the A1 in Nottinghamshire on Sunday night. Emergency services were called to the area at about 11.20pm following reports of a collision involving a number of vehicles. A stretch of the A1 was closed in both directions overnight and diversions were put in place.

Police Appeal For Witnesses To Fatal Car Park Accident
A two-year-old girl has died after being hit by a car in a north-west London supermarket car park. Police have appealed for witnesses. Metropolitan Police has said that the child was hit by a vehicle in the car park of Asda in Forty Lane, Wembley. She was treated by paramedics but later died in hospital.

Prisoner Ordered To Pay £95k 'Proceeds Of Crime'
A man convicted of growing cannabis has been ordered to pay almost £100,000 at a Proceeds of Crime Hearing at Bolton Crown Court. Michael Nixon, 43, of Hill Lane, Blackley, was this week ordered to pay £95,300 - the value of his home and Jaguar V6 car.

Oldham 'Class A' Drugs Swoop
A man has been charged after drugs were found at a house in Oldham. Lee Cameron, 26, of Shaw Road, Oldham was charged with possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply. He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear before Oldham Magistrates Court on Thursday 19 November 2009.

Man Arrested In Connection With Cambridgeshire Cannabis Farm
A 35-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the discovery of a cannabis farm in Cambridgeshire. Police uncovered around 75 cannabis plants at a property on Bencroft Lane, Warboys, on Monday, 26 October. The man was arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis and is currently in custody at Thorpe Wood Police Station.
